Honey where is my sock?

 So we are going to the podiatrist and my mama yells from the driveway...Lani! LANI! Jesus Gosh what mama ....Lani where is my other sock? It was next to the other one on the dryer...right next to your sunglasses! Lani...Lani! where? I look back and when she had gotten her sunglasses on they had clipped the sock and it was dangling from her glasses. Now how in the hell this woman (82) did not see it??? I swear I thought I was going to pee my pants but the funny part is she goes Oh looky there! So while we are at the doctor's some old man comes in yelling Does anyone have a "yellow" Dodge Dart in the parking lot? Hummm no mine is an orange Dodge Caliber.... ok no biggy....No biggy till I got to the parking lot and saw my car...Ouch! But looking on the bright side he left all his information.....SaWheat!.....

 So moving on now see that Happy Face on my Mama it was the Starbucks I got her!

Alright so moving on mama and I are driving and I'm mama where is my phone? She has no clue. She probably wonders why I would bring her home phone with us anyway. So we search the car I even pull over and look under the seats in her purse everywhere. Nothing. We get home I go in and grab a flashlight because it is somewhere. Mama asked oh my what if you dropped it some where! So I take a break in the drivers seat reach down to get a sip of water and accidentally grab my PHONE! look down and it is sitting in the cup holder....Duhh!

I am telling you I need to get back to hangin with peeps my own age.......

Mama

 So back to mama's and this was a very busy visit. The save money we serve you guys came out. It is an energy service that works with the Electric and Gas Companies. What they do is come out to Senior Citizens homes and update all the stuff, change light bulbs, check vents, clean filters and much more. This way you are saving money but saving energy and you get a discount on your bill. Super

 Here is our little Bald Senior getting checked by the Nurse so she can get some of the things that this grand state of ours offers our seniors. Do you have any idea what is available to our Seniors thru their Medicare! I am so amazed...Why I am still in shock. Here is a bit of the story. It all starts by Mimi putting the bug in my ear that there are some things offered to seniors thru the state...I get a bad taste in my mouth the minute goverment is mentioned. But I am willing to listen. So I go on the World Wide Web and check out all the SS Insurance sites and Medicare sites. I print out a 7900 page booklet on how to apply for this shit. Bring it to my mama's
go over it with her....Mimi and I decide we will start to research this when we get home. After all neither of us are WWW savvy. But before we leave my mama has an appointment at her primary doctor ...We love Dr. Kolli I can not believe a do not have a picture of him.

Anywho we are sitting there and he walks in and asks mama how she is ...blah blah blah..Then I ask him Dr. Kolli I have been looking through some websites regarding some services my mama might be able to  get through Medicare... Yes Lani let me request that and we will get it started....No shit..The next day a nurse is calling and now my mama has.......

Justine the Therapist - 2 times a week
Nelly the social Worker - once a week
Marcela the Nurse - once a week
Maricella - Shower Nurse 2 times a week

And still to come:
A free Lazy Boy chair
Meals on wheels
Caregiver three times a week to clean and care for her .....
It just keeps getting better and better

Walmart run!

 Well spent Easter at Mama's with the Meemster.(lil sister) ...Lots to do every time I go to Mama's house now it is just a matter of how much crap am I going to have to throw out...Look at the trash..Hell it was empty when I got there.

 So I have to say all went pretty well. I have her set up to have a physical therapy guy to come out and help her get those little legs back into action.

 I really can not report much more just pray it gets better ...... We did hit Wallmart and that in itself in Hemet is quite the treat!

I wish I had more to report but without her feeling better it is not easy to drag her around.

Taking care of our parents

What a great job to be able to take care of your parents. Seriously I have never gotten as much satisfaction then the time I am spending with my mama. Granted I went to see her every month for a few days but this is special. The fact that she raised me to be the woman I am today makes it such a pleasure to help her now when she needs it. Now the laughter I am getting out of it BONUS ...so I have been a bit busy with mama and with this god damn arm of mine. Yes the accident was a a last June and it is still broken so Friday they are going to go in and fix it again...

Starting this new year I have my little helper Ms. Mimi daughter #4 ... Now I have  a bit of a control issue...... and having my little helper well let us say I acted like a 13 year old girl going through puberty.  I was let see a Bitch not nice girl. But my sister had the patients of a saint and went with it...She has not been around our mama for a while so she needed to get adjusted herself. So our first visit we get there and mama forgot to tell us she had the flu ...Really Mama so we were in and out ....but as soon as I got home I got the flu...So all better I went back with my little helper and we Molly maid the house got her to all her doctor appointment and all is good. Just since her cancer and radiation she is weak as can be. It will be a long road before she is going to feel better.


All set back home we go!  Forward 2 weeks and back to mama;s for appointment's Podiatrist because she almost swang at Lil Mimi when she tried to cut her toe nails and the ears well volume 65 eeeee!

So I just got back from mama's and we went to the podiatrist to get her feet looked at just because we can....I took some sweet shots of her getting her toes chopped. LOL...she was mad as a hornet after but grateful...

 Then we are off to the Hearing Center to find out if she can hear ok...Alright seriously when the TV is at the volume of 65 there is a problem. She got them all set and talk about funny...Got some shots of the little bald girl in the booth....LOl...God I love my mama.....Well Mimi and I will be back there for Easter that should prove to be just one more adventure ...God Bless

So the monthly trip to mom's was good....Cards Friday night a usual stop with the cronies no pictures this time but you can jump to see my friends by clicking here .... So I let mom know that I applied for Tigers Blood internship she nearly feel off her chair and we laughed and had a good time with it.......Hey come on lets get real what are the chances of me 55 unemployed sex pistol getting the job...Hey Mrs. Goddess to you all.....SO we used some of the preserved lemon to make a throw together dinner ....but it turned out so good I will post a separate post with the recipe.... But check out my mommy in the kitchen helpin' then when we had to go buy our annual lottery tickets she got into her wallet and I thought it was hysterical how she counted every dollar to get it just right. Personally I think she could use the cash and should go for the Tiger Blood Job herself.......Oh yeah Grama she would give Winner a run for his tiger money.......Also got some pictures of some cute little lambies ...and the rain crap who want to leave in this storm....hum wait or go.....

stopped at Mimi's on the way home did you know my mom has never seen Mimi's home ever....wow it was so precious to watch them go around her cute little home and look at everything then we went out to lunch...off to my home and we went to the famous 5 dollar book store than took back a vacuum i got her like oh a year ago and got 75.00 dollar's for it why it did not even cost that much things r good ...... Today we went and saw Hereafter BORING and LONNNGGGGG my mommy fell asleep she never falls asleep in movie ...last night we sat around googling stuff i bought at garage sales got a Bauer pitcher for 2 dollar and it goes for 39.00 on ebay and a box of Ball old 1900 jelly jars one goes for 59.00 score girlfriend ...here are some pictures tomorrow we will hit the Regan library then to dinner this is fun but that mommy of mine why she wears me out...lol..we also had a great dinner my nephew Josh came over with his girlfriend Stephanie and it was so nice and the food we scrumptious....ok nite nite got go watch desperate housewolfs...xoxo

Well a little over

a week since we last posted but what a buzzie week it has been got all the blueberries frozen away for jelly time in July. My week has been buzy Hired two new girls at work one for the back one for the front they are both sweet young workers who yes like to work...what a pleasure ......The pond is coming along hummmmm don't ask....Next week I will dedicate my whole weekend to the pond ......... Mimi and Hubby will be in tow man who a thought that it would have taken so much work so much for hiring professional...ya think....so at Mommy's this weekend no Tick but lots of laughs went and saw letters to Juliet we should call it novel to Juliet it was so longggggggggggg but cute...humm again....I had to go talk at a meeting for the Avon walk and I hemmed a hawed about that and did not want to go but be of service and all..then by the time i got done sharing my experience strength and hope I sure felt good...funny how they say when you don't want to do something like work., meetings, exercise when you do it you feel so much better...Life is good I do say....I'm back to the gym which is funny that means i went once last week but next week i will do more walking which hubby has been doing with me and that is good for him and myself. I have kept off the 5 pounds i shed during the kankle weeks and no active time but now I seem ready for full steam ahead....Ok mommy is calling me and I will post all kins of pictures when i get home...she has doves that have there eggs outside the front door so precious it makes you remember how precious life is...I'm blessed and I remember to thank god each day and night for all i have all all i have to give back...God Bless......Hi Linda

Going to mommies

OK so I'm all set to go to mommies and I have all my St.Patty's day crap the green mullet the outfit everything but opps i was suppose to go next weekend but I will go anywho and let the cronies use the goodies to enjoy the St Patty's party next Friday with put out me I'm very jealous because not only will i not be the center of attention tomorrow night we are playing tick and the cook is a lady I do not know she is new to the group and making a pot of ready here it comes Bouilbase....the group has invited her so I must be a good little girl.... she is a lady that Nancy has been tutoring in English this should be fun ....i will get pictures ....LOL.....im already excited and im going to make the fish tacos for mommy on saturday night...did i give you that recipe??? halibut tacos and mango salsa oh my gosh .....So i will take pictures and update you when I come home .....I have so much to do I have to get into that garden of mine ...This year I am planning to grow most of the stuff I can and I am starting to get a well stocked pantry...It is all new stuff for twenty ten....Well we have all kinds of time to talk about this..have blessed weekend and I will talk to you Sunday when I return....God Bless

So Thursday night

Tomorrow i will go to mommy's ....yippee...we are having a valentines day tick party me and her cronies if you don;'t know about my gang out in Hemet click on the labels or Tick stories and pictures ..now for those who don't know it Tick is a card game that mommy and her cronies play every stinkin Friday night and when I go out there it is a super duper tick party..so I have my outfit...a pair of Joe Boxer MC Hammer pants imagine till i get the pictures me in these black pant with red lips and the work HOT in bright letters reading HOT...then I have a stunning red t shirt with a Sweet saying on the front I must leave a bit to your imagination.....Then to top it off I have a great little head band and you all know even tom how I love my headbands this one is pink with sweet little hearst atop my precious little head.....so i have little treat cake things for my ladies and a fun night to be had by all...I just love going to mommy's...I will chime in this weekend or Sunday till then ...god bless....and please feel the love this weekend

So much to catch up on it has been a long week

I'm so bad I have not updated any of you on my adventures and there have been many...Let me say I had the BBQ did I make a slide show of that let me go look. great you cant watch my slide shows cause I screwed that up by organizing my pictures and that in turn makes it impossible to see,...Another project for me to do. So my mommy 80th birthday was a big success. All mommy's friends were there and we had a great brunch at the golf resort in town. Here is a picture of the three of us. So everyone had champagne except me of course and it was just heart warming to see how many people so love my mommy. I hope when I'm that old I have as many loved ones..and Tom.....So in the mean time when we are there the boys .....hubby decided in the middle of the shindig to fix a drawer that had broken ...so they go out to get some tools and Gary the assistant goes to help. Now mind you the kitchen only fits one and a half people under 5 feet and weigh ing no more that 100 pounds. well after about 45 minutes i went to check on the construction crew and her hand Was shaking and the boys were getting this drawer in so good that if there was an earthquake the place would fall but the drawer would still be standing....Mean while in the party room each person had hooked up with another and were all just chatting away like a room full of birds ...I sat back and watched as everyone just talked and talked it was a wonderful day and everyone had such a great time. Happy 80th mommy!!!

Well here is a picture of me and mommy right before we lost all my money and went to Kathy last weekend ...good lord look at my mom she looks so good all the guys were trying to pick up on her at the casino.......Mostly old Indians.....
