DIY Wedding Vases

So after many of my brilliant idea's. One which was so far fetched yet I thought rather creative well. We needed tall vases for the tables centerpieces. These begin very expensive the cost for the cheapest which looked like shit was 20 dollars +. So with this great mind I thought please keep the laughter down. Get thick PVD pipe cut it mount it onto wood platter things hot glue to stick and spray paint. Clever yes? Well without mentioning names you know who you are I got to many doggies tipped head looks and what ifs.

So somehow the vases that Mommy of the bride got for the Wedding Shower Linsey said would be perfect , cheap and easily spray painted. Yup 2.99 at the Party City. We could only find Disco Green but once they are painted black shiny beauties.

Alrighty let us get started. The things you will need is a place to spray paint, some plastic or paper to protect the area. Please note I am protecting my dirty ugly trash cans. It is more to protect the project you get it. Next is the vase and some Glossy black spray paint. I took the vases and turned them upside down because it seems that the bottom is always the hardest to get to.

We did them one at a time. Duhh! Do this during the day and out in the sun. Why you ask because this way the sunshine let's you see if they are to thin a coating . I recommend two coats. But do one coat let it dry and the following day do a second coat.

This is how I let them dry. I put them on to wine bottles. It was really the greatest idea. Hang on I have to pat myself on the back. Plus I was able to spray the bottom side.

I do have to say this world we live in is amazing. That we can take $30.00 worth of Neon green vases a $3.00 can of glossy black spray paint and POOF we turned them into vases for a wedding. I have pinned so many great DIY ideas on the Pinterest boards. Do yourself a favor and look outside the box.

25 days and 1 with Bob the light man

I have so many pictures of this special day I do not know if there is room to write. Ok so I bought some light for the wedding with the intention of having them for all my gathering's I throw use to have through out the year.

The brides Daddy helping separate the lights.

Linsey with her Mommy doing more light action. It took a while to get the lights in and then come to find out we only got just the right amount of light. I would think you would get a few extra. Must call the company Monday . Oh goodie one more thing to do!

Let the games begin. First we need to map out the design.
Pa got on the ladder to hang my first hook . I went on U tube to get a instruction on how to string these. It came from Mike the DJ site. But it all went to a company project when Bob the Light man arrived. It was a funny and interesting experience to say the least. Thank God for neighbor's. Linda and Bob the light man had had this experience in their own backyard a few year's back. I think their favorite story for me is how the guest did a Champagne rocket pop contest into the neighbors yard across the street a kind of what we say "Contest'

Please take note Bob the light man and his assistant Linda the "Gopher" because she was going to get something at every turn.

I could hear his brain ticking from across the yard. He was thinking pretty hard!

Look how excited he was! Seriously there just light's Bob the light man!

Oh Goody a project!

Ok to the next tree. Yes that is me in my Garden Hat my baby girl brought back from one of her International Travels. Thank you Baby Jesus !

Pa and Bob the light man made changes to my master plan !
This would be the time my husband said go ahead do it all. Little did we know he was the smart one!  WAIT no he is going to get the sledge hammer while Linda held the string knowing her next project was not going to be easy!

Now the Poles. Poor Cindy was watching from the patio and said all of a sudden she started to hear the song chain gang because of the hammering of the sledge. Linda and Pa pounded the crap out for the ends to make them able to go in the ground easier. Nice Ass's

Are we done yet??????

This is Cindy and I helping.

I can hear Lind "When the F&@^%&@ is this going to end. Have they never heard of Eloping?

Ok now string the wire.

Oh well shit howdy look who decided to show up. The Groom !

DO not say a word Henry Allan

This is Mike and Carolyn's little baby. Who by the way has more hair then all the adults combined. Took the baby to Grama for a little senior moment.

Where did all these younger people come from did they smell the food or something?

And Now the Big Reveal! Will they work ?

TADAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

28 Day and Los Angeles Shop time

Oh she may be happy now but let get to the Barderrrrrrrrr. It was a nice drive we stopped to pick up Chrystal "Maid of Honor" and she decided not to go. Her brother just got back into town so there ya have it!

Ok we have are directions and we have our cash and we are on our way. Downtown Los Angeles. Two Anglo Sackson Girl's ready to Jew it down ! I can say that because I raised Jews! Hey this is a good trade being able to get things cheaper.
A lost art!

I have not been to LA for years!

But do I remember the Pantry and the delicious food they have there. You should go is you ever get a chance to be in Los Angeles

Ok we parked and I had to go pee pee and the only bathroom is in the basement of the city. Get this it cost's .50 cents to get in to the bathroom. I took a picture of the woman in the chair the "Bathroom Guard" but she was a bitch and ran from the camera.

First stop Black material for the side of the house. Linsey had this idea ? to drape the whole side of the garage. I explained in a kind yet firmish way. We are getting married not exterminating the house. Drapes work in the right area's. She is easy to agree. She is that way. Sweet but I do not want to get on her icky side.

This one kept telling me to go ask the big boss.  The Big Boss was a man who had to be going on 102 who just nodded and said Ok or No-K. English is not a even second language here. But we got 60 yards (do not ask) of the black for a great cost. I was laughing later because the bolt weighed more than the two of us and I think we really do have enough to do the whole neighborhood. I do not know math and Linsey was a close second when it came to dividing and subdividing and than multiplying the walls by the floor by the on and on.

Poor Little Ms. Mead she could not take any more and they just did not have what she wanted. !

This is when I grabbed her and we ran to the next block

So On ward and upward to the next block. We shuffled through those stores like real pro's. Then into a drapery store Hell yes the material is as long as it is wide. I hear the angels singing Halleluiah

And here I am carrying the bolt's of stuff for the inside of the house. Yes she is having a very draped fancy house wedding in the yard.

This is my dream to have one of my babies get married in our yard. Finally !

Last stop LA dog a hot dog wrapped in bacon with mustard and jalapenos. Shit I am drooling right now while I am typing.

 Left over bun

Here is a view from the parking lot where we schlepped the stuff each purchase up then down then up then down.

Ok just a few pictures of the drive home and we are done for now.

Look how tall Lordy

Ahhh 405 North Home James !
