2014

Well this year is coming to and end and it was a grand year. I have a lot to do still we do have a half a month left. Family is great Hubby is still a gift from God!


As usual. I stayed busy with a new hobby Watercolor and took a drawing class.

My instructor Linda is fun and I have met new Friday friends.  Then after school still doing the Friday Girls Film Group have seen some great movies.

We had a delightful Halloween with the neighbor Trick or Treating and these girls came with a Goat! Love my neighborhoodie!

We had our Annual Halloweenie in the Hoodie Party. The Good Ole' Neighbors were here and we added some new one's.

We are truly blessed to have such a close knit neighborhoodie!

The kid's are doing Terrific. Went to Oakland for my get away not as often as usual but just love Oakland why you ask well the








Food, the People and the dog's.



 Everyone one has a dog and the dog;s own the city. They are everywhere in and out of stores restaurants.






The Dog Park is 2 miles of grass , water and bay jumper's.

I have been spending a lot of time with my BFF Shelly. Shopping, Meetings and Pal stuff!

We are Happy Little Reindeer. Oh and we have been Church hopping ! Quite interesting if I do say.

Day of Departure

So the morning I leave the Island of Oakland my baby shows me yet another great place for food....A girl has to diet prior to coming here....This little restaurant has homemade poptarts...Oh Yeah baby and a Chai Tea that took 15 minutes to hand brew and it came in a soup bowl....I had an egg sandwich that was on homemade biscuits....with home made cherry jam and being a jammer-canner I adored that !

 We jogged right into a store and I had to spend some more money................

This guy sold me some voodoo rocks to heal mama and Casey..Who do? You do Voo Do? Does anyone remember the movie with what's his name Cary Grant and Shirley Temple grown up that the who do line was in???

 Ok first stop Cupcake store for a nice selection of sweets for the movie...I know but we use to go to the movies all the time when my little baby lived in Simi but alas we need to make up time when we can and chris left us free passes.....We saw Money Ball the other night and today 50/50 both great movies so go see them....

 My first time to shop at an H & M need I tell you what type of shop this is only the best shop to get the hippest stuff at the best price...And since I am so damn hip NOT I need to spend at little money ....Yes the bag is full

Dinner at Mua and it was so good...Calamari and then I got a bowl of mussels and they put the french fires on top ...Weird but it worked..Now to go home and assemble the table.....

Day two on the Island

 Stella my granddaughter helps me wash up each day ...She is a water cat.....So after we washed up Ms.Independence and I headed over to Golden Gate Park a very large piece of Frisco that has enough to keep us busy for several visits...So today we will go to .......The California Academy of Science now neither of us are brainy-ax...but after great mental thought and the fact that we had a heart attack over the price 30.00 per person hey wait I'm a senior that knocks off 3 dollars...Ok were in....and it was worth every single cent.....I will let the pictures tell the story today with a live caption at the end of our field trip!

You all know how much I love this place ......I am so happy Ms. Independence moved here...when I come up here i feel 20 years younger...the people the food the just the everything.....I got into Oakland yesterday and first stop the Farmers Market where we picked up some purple cauliflower for dinner with some Focaccia bread for dinner......yum and let me say there are so many dog's in Oakland they are about as many dogs as there are people...I got some cute shots they are on the Dog Blog......So after we got dinner we walked around some of my favorite stores and off to the new spot for Ms. Independence to get here caffeine high ...this is a tea place that has tapioca balls in the bottom of the cup...So as you drink you eat big tapioca bubbles...I am hooked.....Then I went into a few used book stores and found some great ole' canning and preserving book...they are talked about on Canarella....Next stop back to Lake Merritt to cruise our other shops and off to the movie ...home for dinner and relax for the big day at Golden Gate Park today...Woot Woot
