Painting away the Day

I do so love my Watercolor class but I also as usual have issues. It really comes down to a tit for tat. I love watercolor I go to class and the canvas takes me away. I had this life long desire to learn to watercolor so I grabbed my partner in crimes and joined.




 When in doubt I grab my friend Linda yes she is very willing to try everything at least once and we even did our homework together. Ah friendship .....

Linda our teacher demo'd all the stuff and I went in with a gusto. Not sure if this would be the right fit for me I did not give up. We always seem to get a good laugh and memories out of what ever we do.

Linda even went so far as to go to a drawing class also and she was good.


So off we go to the Simi Valley Senior Center yeah yeah. To start it was not easy there are some really talented people in our community. Look with a little guidance I can do most anything but alone with my own guidance well not so good! Two thing I did very well Drink and Talk!




Moving on and to get this post done with out keeping you here all day... I have been painting since 2011 and so enjoy where it takes me. My real point in this post is to get you to pick up a hobby if you already have not.

Oh shit right I did go to the Encore program at Pierce College and take some out of the box painting classes there were good but all I could look at in this class was the man with the raccoon on his head! 








Well this year I did enter my paintings at the Fair and did ok. They are now on display at the Senior Center.

So between the Canning, Quilting and the new Grand baybay Harper I should be able to stay busy. God Bless
 

Dah Brush Dah Brush

 Yes I am back to my Picasso day's. I have reunited with my Peep's at the Senior Center. Yes a few are gone. You know what that means. NO they have not passed , they have passed on to a new class. Something exciting like Wood Carving or Shuffle Board. Now I know why my Mama said to Shuffle off to Buffalo.







I have taken a hostage this semester yes my Good Pal Linda.

But look at how fricken bored she looks. Like La La La what else. 

 Our teacher Linda is really good and has the nack of teaching us tricks to make the job of painting easier.

 This is a Father daughter team. They are good let me tell ya. It makes my heart warm with da love when I see them. What a good daughter and what a good daddy.

And Linda (My friend) say's and I quote "Funny we are such good friend's, "yet" we have nothing in common" I  did stare at her and with that comment making no sense. I will make sure she never forgets NEVER! Well little Ms. Nothing in common is sitting next to me in Water Color Class.

25 days and 1 with Bob the light man

I have so many pictures of this special day I do not know if there is room to write. Ok so I bought some light for the wedding with the intention of having them for all my gathering's I throw use to have through out the year.

Linsey with her Mommy doing more light action. It took a while to get the lights in and then come to find out we only got just the right amount of light. I would think you would get a few extra. Must call the company Monday . Oh goodie one more thing to do!

Let the games begin. First we need to map out the design.

Pa got on the ladder to hang my first hook . I went on U tube to get a instruction on how to string these. It came from Mike the DJ site. But it all went to a company project when Bob the Light man arrived. It was a funny and interesting experience to say the least. Thank God for neighbor's. Linda and Bob the light man had had this experience in their own backyard a few year's back. I think their favorite story for me is how the guest did a Champagne rocket pop contest into the neighbors yard across the street a kind of what we say "Contest'

Please take note Bob the light man and his assistant Linda the "Gopher" because she was going to get something at every turn.

I could hear his brain ticking from across the yard. He was thinking pretty hard!

Look how excited he was! Seriously there just light's Bob the light man!

This would be the time my husband said go ahead do it all. Little did we know he was the smart one!  WAIT no he is going to get the sledge hammer while Linda held the string knowing her next project was not going to be easy!


Now the Poles. Poor Cindy was watching from the patio and said all of a sudden she started to hear the song chain gang because of the hammering of the sledge. Linda and Pa pounded the crap out for the ends to make them able to go in the ground easier. Nice Ass's

Alright so you know Linda and I walk a few times a week ....I always take the camera for moments like this ...oh sure there are many beautiful trees, many doggies to bark...fellow walker that ignore us...but it is moments like this that I cherish...Yes we came upon a small medicine bottle I of course thought Heck what is  left wow wonder if some one dropped that .... Now we know my Linda does  not do pick up stuff off the ground so I did it and made her hold it so I could takethe picture that is where the I think I am going to vomit look comes from because she is in great shape and in no way even so much as shows tiredness.......Well I do not need to say much more but we were going to sprint home to get out the bong but there is none in the bottle...damn maybe next time.......

A day in the Life of Lani & Linda

Your WHAT? Driving...ok ok ok ...ok

So lets take a drive because you need to get some tablets to put into my Water Troth's so they will stay fresh for the BIG one so off we go to SOS Survial store in Van Nuys..... lol....Now this was a big day for my Linda because she always drives....not that I can not she has to ...It is a Linda thing without

going into long dialog on both of our habits lets just say Who cares she has a Saaaweet car and fresh water for me with Martha Stewart on the radio when I get in ...I might as sit in the back and point ....lol....ok ok ok so we are going to Van Nuys to the Store get there walk in and look for the water purifier tablets I thought it was going to pay oh say 5 dollars per container....Ok go back Linda and Bobby gave us three of these 55 gallon. Heavy duty molded plastic construction. FDA approved resin. 2.4 mm wall thickness. 35 1/2" H x 22" Diameter. Blue 

 drum with solid natural cover and metal lever lock ring closure. Because they did not need them anymore because Spirit their horse passed a few months back. And it would just give Linda one more thing to dust...don't ask.....

Ok back on topic so we go to the store to get the water stuff and I nearly have a heart attack because the tablets are not tablets they are little bottle that cost me $6.00 per bottle that is hang on I have to use my fingers..two ten... twenty four... almost 40 bucks.but the kind  man explained that for 5 years it is good so over the five years it pays for itself and more...ok I am not doing the math my fingers are sore from the addition i did earlier.....lol....and Oh my gosh does anyone watch the Next Great restaurant yes right there on the street is the place they shop now to most this is really unimportant but to a cook and Foodie lover GOLDDD

Ok to wrap the day up I forced her to go to Buzz's appliance I have a freezer called the Kelvenator in the garage sounds like it was made by Arnold Swartz but not anywho it is taking up room so perhaps Buzz wants it? Well Buzz is really Kim Chong la la la and he would be delighted to come get it.....and after promising it to him i find out the county will pick it up for free and to boot the electric company will pick it up and give me 50 bucks for it... Damn but Kim Young Gee wanted it for parts and it is local and a good give....God Bless

So it was dinner with Bob and Linda now it has been a while since3 we have been out to eat we did go to the house for super bowl ...anywho so we go to dinner and she says...so I see you have been keepin up on the blog...yes yes my fan base is small but the demand is there....... So how come you have not put the Avon walk up...i will dinner goes smooth and I felt it coming not yet.....wait wait here it comes...Linda says So when you going to start training....There it is! See if you know anything about this blog it all started when I got the cancer and then when I signed up for the Avon walk the first time and Linda my pal trained with me this woman taught me things that I would never in my life would have know let alone understood....She is heaven sent....but I never gave a definitive answer so for now I think I'm safe I threw a few days and some times to throw her off but I knew she is in it to win it with me....lol...she is a pro runner.....Ok So I'm putting up my Avon Donate button and I will post it this weekend and instructions on how you my dear Friends and Tom can add it to your blog and there is no reward and no prizes just a great cause...god bless and will do that this weekend......oh thank you Linda.....

Super Bowl WOOHOO

Oh my Gosh what a great game and great company went to Linda and Bobs...This is Bob and Linda and also Bob and Linda with Hank and pretty girl.....That is me playing withLittle Vanessa I always end up with the kids which is great...but lets get back to the first thing and that is I had a great time i have not spent any quality time with my friend Linda and it was really nice ....I popped into the TV room with the others long enough to yell a couple of times and Linda cooked a killer low fat brownie laced with marshmallows half had the marshmallows ,,,,,,,,,i tried both i had to after all it is my duty.....I do say the eating right is going okie dokie I'm really watching yet not being to hard on myself baby steps i find that when i try to hard that i slip more often...I had such a good time today I am so blessed with Family and friends ....Have a good week...Hye I have not gotten so much as one comment the last four posts...HELLO R U OUT THERE??????
