Local Business Field Trip




Easy Street in Simi Valley an industrial mecca! Seriously it is just a street with a lot of business that I wanted to go in to.

Who ya gonna call? LINDA!









Yes once again I call my trusted comrade in arm's. "Linda" . She is always up for an adventure. That is as long as it does not involve dirt, hand holding, toilet stops or hugs.

And besides we have so much in common. 








One day I was driving down Easy street once again and said I have to get to know these people and what the hell they do on this street. I am a people person. So I pulled over called Co-pilot Linda and she agreed it was a must do. It was as simple as that.

This would be a man picking up "nails" on a street we had been driving up and down and up and down. Really?







Next we are approaching Techstone Inc. an Outdoor Improvement Warehouse this was the best stop in my opinion. They all were good !

But my host Armando was so sweet and cute like a little Boo-Boo bear.

This is my gracious host Armando. I swear it was such a pleasure to see employee so informative and knowledgeable about their business.They have this stuff you coat concrete with and it is like indoor granite. And you can do outdoor counter's. Look at me feeling it. Smooth - Super Stuff.

Last stop Kara Kreations this one I have had my eye on for a while. I have wanted some special acrylic boxes for my quilting stuff.The owner was a delight. And what a talker.

Mama and her new boyfriend

 This Fox of an eye doctor. Look I have had to take Mama to the doctor's several times in the last few months to establish new relationship. Well this one is short of a marriage.She did not want to go no how no way. SO I told her she had to because if she says to me one more god damn time Wha? Huh? or looks at me like I am goofier than I am.

So we walk in and she looks up and as if I was not even there off she goes with Dr. Wonderful to his office to get her wax removed. She HATES to do this oh no not this time.

So I stay behind and start to fill out paper work when the receptionist from heaven says would you like coffee or
tea ? Hell yes! Wait wait little lady Mama first and so Linda asked Mama if she wanted some coffee and you her this yell Yes! Oh suddenly she can hear. It is a miracle!

Well once he took the two buckets of wax from her ear's she was so happy and grateful. Hey what happened to Evil Mama who did not want to come here?





I love love love to recommend good business's in Simi Valley well this is one of them. I know you think you can hear just fine but one day when you need an ear check this is the place to go. 1st Street Car Wash

I just have no time to wash my car these day's. I have gone to every car wash in Simi and I have decided that the ole' reliable one is still the best.

They have moved but the old location north on 1st Street to South on First Street. Only a few blocks difference. I have been a customer since my children were tiny babies. The same owner operated since it opened. No bells and whistles just a good car wash.

They have moved to the old Lenny Dykstra's which could kiss my ass. When the old owners had it they use to change my radio station to Spanish for their entertainment. No way.

Well it has since been taken over by my friends from First Street Car Wash so go get you car washed. Sit by the fountain grab a free cup of java and enjoy! Did you know that you save water by using car wash's. Yup it is true.

Knife and Sizzor Sharpening

Ok you all know I cook and quilt. Sharp tools are essential to my hobbies. Well the new go to guy is Pro-Sharp

I only started to go and get my stuff sharpened when Pa tried to sharpen my knives. One day God Bless him he took my Good Knives and out to the work shop he goes. What I got back was my knives well I only wish I had taken a picture the well how can I describe them. The sharp was gone and the blade was crooked. I swear I do not to this day know how he accomplished that but he did. Always a helper. And that is why I love him so.

Back to Pro-Sharp he comes to Joanne's in Simi Valley about once a month. He sends you an email telling you ht day and time. I dropped my knives and sizzors off one afternoon and about an hour later WaLa sharp. Dangerous sharp the way tools should be. And look how he is wrapping the knives like babies! Such care.

Liberty Cleaners

Well these two sweet people own and operate Liberty Cleaners. This is a home grown business. The other things I love about it is it is clean dry cleaning.

"Liberty Cleaners is Simi Valley's First Environmentally friendly Cleaners, we are a 7 time Readers Choice award winner.

I take all my dry cleaning and hard to figure out stains there. When winter is over I take my bed spread and have them cleaned and wrapped for there spring and summer nap.

Well always a smile I hope you to will use them when ever possible. They are great!

And heck they even pick up and delivery....
