I do so love to Watercolor

Watercolor is really another of my favorite hobbies. I started in 2011 took one year off and returned. I take my classes' at the Simi Senior Center it is so beautiful there and so much for us Senior Hooligans to do to keep us off the streets and out of trouble.

I am going to just post some of the pictures so you can look through them.

No reading needed Yes we like that !

Toilet + Paints =

So far the announcement of the month ? You ask !

Well there are several.  The bathroom is almost done.

I have finally finished a painting from the watercolor class. The teacher goes so fast. In her defense I do believe it is to make us practice at home but seriously does she realize that we are "Seniors" and I want to be treated accordingly.

Well I am finishing my homework.

On to the never ending bathroom. It only has the glass to finish off the job but Good Lord it was started June 7th and it is what December now ????? But there was a lot involved and many a hiccup which does happen in Home Improvement right ?????

I have been preserving up a storm the lady down the street my "new" friend has allowed me to pick her tree's. She had some super sexy dark red plums I made Plum Jam and some Strawberry Plum jam. The yard is just an on going project. I water endlessly but rather than have a drip system which I do agree is great. I have chosen to water individual plant when they need ti and directly. Yes it is time consuming but the results are good.

It is butterfly season. I have set up my butterfly grower safe haven for those caterpillars that may bite the dust. Why you ask not use nature?

Well ravens, ants, spiders, and all other yard shit eat the lil critters. Yummy for them not for the caterpillar? Thus the safe haven hamper! If you want to know more About Monarch Butterflies or any local butterflies you can go to this site. Linda and Rick run it. They have monthly sales and you can call them anytime to purchase anything butterfly!

Oh yes and my baby brother brought over his corn he grew. Lil Thing. Oh Mama would be so proud! And the corn was really sweet and delicious we grilled it.

Dah Brush Dah Brush

Yes I am back to my Picasso day's. I have reunited with my Peep's at the Senior Center. Yes a few are gone. You know what that means. NO they have not passed , they have passed on to a new class. Something exciting like Wood Carving or Shuffle Board. Now I know why my Mama said to Shuffle off to Buffalo.

I have taken a hostage this semester yes my Good Pal Linda.

Do you notice that she is at my home and she is doing her homework?

But look at how fricken bored she looks. Like La La La what else.

Our teacher Linda is really good and has the nack of teaching us tricks to make the job of painting easier.

This is a Father daughter team. They are good let me tell ya. It makes my heart warm with da love when I see them. What a good daughter and what a good daddy.

And Linda (My friend) say's and I quote "Funny we are such good friend's, "yet" we have nothing in common" I  did stare at her and with that comment making no sense. I will make sure she never forgets NEVER! Well little Ms. Nothing in common is sitting next to me in Water Color Class.

Painting up the class

My life at the Senior Center is becoming quite a lot of fun. It is quiet. I am making new friends. The gossip is off the wall funny. And I am doing something I always wanted to do...Not so well but doing it never the less ..here are two of the latest pictures. The birds well I crossed out his wing because it looked like he shit he pooped a wing...The teacher said "Oh Lani no no no you can fix that no more x's...yeah yeah yeah...The magnolia well it took two weeks but I'm feeling alright about it.
Here is the deal. People are constantly moseying around the room looking at every ones work...And they come to mine and either shuffle by fast or say "Oh Hon good job for your first class" Is that like take more honey you need it ....well no matter I love the class and I am learning something new.....Picasso I'm not but hey at least it is not a paint by numbers....

The color wheel

My first work of art....

Yes it is that time again time for all Seniors to get to class...... Yes I signed up for another class the Gardening one was just not enough and it is one more I can cross of my Toilet list shit I have to do . Let us start at the top for new readers...I got retired fired and until I can find a new job which we are always on the prowl for I need to stay busier...like i do not do enough...but the way i go go golanigo is the way I am built...So I took the gardening seminar where a Master Gardener talks each week about a different subject and it was really good. Why I even got a boyfriend named Herman oh do not be jealous just because he is 86 and smells like Old Spice....I know you want him but he is mine ladies....Ok so I went back to the Center one day while I was walking with one of my gal pals and noticed that they were going to have a water color class so I said this could be yet one more adventure....But before I went I did get Linda to go with me for a Senior Tour and to show her all the great things this place has to offer to us.....I thought perhaps she would like to go become a Picasso with me but once she got a wind of the woodcarvers class I knew I lost her...... But worry not my little ones i have gone singed up and will be attending the Water Color Class and will be updating you weekly...Why if I was not so focused on my color wheel I probably would have been able to join in to a couple of hot and moving conversations....About what you ask ...Well one was the state of the Royal Wedding and all the gossip that goes with it...Like "Well you know the only reason the Queen let Prince Charles marry Diana is so they would not have ugly babies" Now who da thought....The  other was the price of paper towels and how to use the copy machine.....It just keeps getting better and better....I better find a job fast.....God Bless ...
